DAYTON – The 2nd Annual Rally 4 Recovery hosted by FOA Families of Addicts will be held on Aug. 30, from 3–5:30 p.m. at Courthouse Square in downtown Dayton. The FOA Rally will unite the people and resources of the Miami Valley together to raise awareness about substance use disorders, eliminate the stigma associated with addiction and show that recovery works. Preble County MHRB Director Amy Raynes will be speaking at the event.

This is a free event welcoming the entire family, including individuals seeking or in long-term recovery. The event will include at least 20 resource tables with information on recovery and related support services and guest speakers.

Speakers include the Executive Directors from several county mental health and recovery boards; Helen Jones-Kelley from Montgomery County, Kent Youngman from Clark, Greene and Madison counties and Amy Raynes from Preble County. Shared personal stories will also offer hope for those affected by addiction. There will also be a raffle, music by Kill the Epidemic, food, TapSnap digital photo booth, face-painting and a hope and memories canvas to sign. One of the highlights of the event will be “The Big Picture” group photo and balloon release signifying a personal or loved one’s place in recovery.

FOA is honored to have the support from caring sponsors in the community. They would like to thank Title Sponsor CareSource, Premium Sponsors: Project C.U.R.E, Children’s Emergency Services, R.A.N.G.E Task Force, and Recovery Sponsors: Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug & Mental Health Services and Ohio Addiction Recovery Center for their commitment to supporting their mission.
