EATON — Hello November! Our theme for this month is “Giving Thanks to Our Seniors”. We have several great programs this month awaiting your participation. In recognition of giving thanks you are invited to the following:

Honk-In: Friday, Nov. 4, 4-6 p.m. We will be gathering and holding signs in each town and villages within the county. Supporting our seniors and asking for ‘honks for seniors’. If you want to join us, call Holly at 937-456-4947 ext. 217.

Northern Connection: The “Lunch & Learn” meeting is on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, located at 301 E. Main Street in New Paris. The Northern Connection is a partnership between the Preble County Council on Aging and the St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Lunch is served at no charge (donations are welcome). This month’s speaker is Morgan from Reid Health Alliance. She will be addressing the “ABC’s of Medicare – What you need to know”. Transportation: If you are a senior and you need a ride to the polls, or to vote let us know. We will get you there. Call 937-456-4947 to and ask for Shirley. Need a ride to a doctor’s appointment, we can help with that too.

History of Veterans Day: How it came about, why we celebrate it, and celebrating the Veterans. Friday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m.

Craft Bazaar: A wide variety of crafts will be available including quilts, handbags, wood crafts, baked goods, jewelry, holiday decorations and more. Lunch will be available for purchase. Saturday, Nov. 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To reserve a space, please call Stacey at 937-456-4947 ext. 215.

Questions: A Warren Davidson’s Representative will be at the Preble County Council on Aging on Nov. 16, at noon. He will be available to answer any questions that you may have.

What are You Thankful for?: Come in and share with us what you are thankful for! Friday Nov. 18 at 10 a.m.

History of Thanksgiving: Monday, Nov. 21, at 10 a.m.

Dessert Auction: Bid on delicious desserts donated by local businesses and senior center members. Just in time for Thanksgiving! All proceeds raised go towards the Senior Center programs and activities. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m.

Center will be closed, Thursday Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25.
