Kids and families

Story time

Take your kids (ages 11 and under) to the library for story time with crafts. The New Paris Library has story time on Nov. 28 at 5 p.m.

Teens (grades 6-12)

NES Classic Gaming

Play classic 8-bit Nintendo games on our Raspberry Pi computer. We’ll also design Super Mario levels on the Wii U with Super Mario Maker! We’ll have snacks, too! NES Classic Gaming is for teens in grades 6-12, and it will be at the following libraries:

West Alexandria Library on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 4 p.m.

Eldorado Library on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 4:30 p.m.

West Elkton Library on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 4p.m.

New Paris Library on Monday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m.

Super Smash Bros. Tournament

Compete in Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U at the Eaton Library on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 3:30 p.m. Every player gets a prized, but the top player will win a Kirby plush! Tournament is for teens in grades 6-12. Call (937) 456-4331 to register or register in person at the library.

Adults

Coffee & Canvas

We’ll have some pre-holiday painting fun at the Eaton Library on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. The Preble County Visual Arts Center will set you up to create your own version of a painting. All supplies are provided, and coffee will be served. Registration is limited to 10 participants for this free program, so be sure to register soon at the Eaton Library or call (937) 456-4331.

Novel Discussion book club

We’ll discuss The Old-Fashioned Christmas Romance Collection at the Eaton Library on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 6:30 p.m. This book contains stories from DiAnn Mills, Peggy Darty, Rosey Dow, Rebecca Germany, JoAnn A. Grote, Sally Laity, Loree Lough, Gail Gaymer Martin, and Colleen L. Reece.

Microsoft Excel class

Get to know Microsoft’s spreadsheet software at the Eaton Library on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 3 p.m. You can use Excel to create budgets, set up calendars, track vehicle servicing, and much more. This class will introduce you to the basics of data entry, functions, and other basics. Some previous computer experience is preferred.
