EATON — Mark your calendars for the upcoming Preble-Montgomery County Pond Clinic, to be hosted in Preble County this year.

Pond owner Brad Kramer will give a brief history of the construction of his pond and will address the challenges he faces with maintaining a six-acre pond. OSU Extension Pond Specialist Eugene Braig will speak about maintaining your pond and managing fish populations. Shawn Murphy will be on hand to discuss pond safety and liability concerns related to owning a pond. To wrap up the evening, Preble Soil and Water Conservation District staff will discuss what the SWCD offers to land owners.

The Pond Clinic will be held on Thursday, June 6, at the home of Brad Kramer, 1800 W. Winnerline Rd., Eaton. Look for signs from Ohio 726. A free picnic-style meal will begin at 5:30 p.m. The program will begin at 6 p.m. and conclude around 8 p.m.

The Pond Clinic, co-hosted by Preble and Montgomery SWCD, is free and open to everyone, and will be held rain or shine. Please bring your own lawn chairs.
