EATON — The Preble SWCD’s Annual Meeting is coming up, and the organization is celebrating its 70th anniversary.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at the Lakengren Lodge, 22 Lakengren Drive, Eaton. Lake Lakengren is a private community surrounding a man-made lake.

The Supervisor Election will take place at 5:30 p.m. with a meal to follow at 6 p.m. The meal is free and provided by Big Dawgz at The Lake, the owners of the café located in the Lodge.

A presentation by Amanda Badger, the owner and operator of Wild Hearts African Farm located in Lewisburg, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Badger will discuss wildlife conservation, the work she is doing on her farm, and will showcase a few of her African Farm inhabitants.

This is a family event, so bring the entire family. Entertainment for the kids will be available during the meeting. There is a beach directly behind the Lodge, if any kids wish to swim.
