WEST ALEXANDRIA — Serving Preble County for the last four years, Reflections@pmg will be celebrating its last month before transitioning, under new management, to The Bison and The Boar on Feb. 22.

“Serving up good country cooking, it’s been our pleasure to serve the people of Preble County and beyond these last four years,” said owner Dan Appenzeller. “These last few weeks leading up to the change will be your chance to come in and have some of your favorite dishes, enjoy some great live music and look at the place one last time before we reopen.”

With free live music scheduled most upcoming Friday and Saturday, Reflections@pmg’s last day of business will be on Saturday, Feb. 16, when the restaurant will close for the week to work on its grand reopening as The Bison & The Boar on Feb. 22.

“Along with Chef Isiah (Davis), we’ve been working on the concept for The Bison & The Boar for the better part of a year and can’t wait to share it,” Appenzeller said. “We aspire to be a destination country steakhouse with specialty menu items featuring both Bison and Boar. The whole staff couldn’t be more excited about the changes and we hope our diners will be too!”

Isiah Davis was hired late last year as the new general manager and brings over 15 years of culinary and hospitality experience to the restaurant. During the 5-day closure, he and the staff will be working on an entire update of the restaurant, bar and the menu for the reopening as The Bison & The Boar.

“Isiah helped us during the holiday season and did such an amazing job that we knew he had to be part of this new concept,” Appenzeller said. “With so many great people in place, we are excited to serve neighbors and friends both old and new in a whole new way.”

For those interested, Reflections@pmg is open for regular hours through Saturday, Feb. 16. Special music is planned most Friday and Saturday nights leading up to the closing date.
