Local kennel holding donation drive for PC Humane Society

LEWISBURG — Diamond Kennels in Lewisburg is hosting its third annual donation drive for the Preble County Humane Society.

Owners Jeremy and Jill Rogers are continuing their annual tradition of supporting the local animal shelter during the holiday season by encouraging their boarding, daycare and grooming guests to participate in the drive with a prize drawing of a two-night stay in the room or suite of their pup’s choice.

The Rogers Family say they have come to learn over the past 3 1/2 years that many of the guests they love so much have been rescues of the Preble County Humane Society. Their goal is to “help bring a little joy to an organization which has helped so many animals which bring people happiness every day.”

Anyone is welcome to donate for this event and be entered into the drawing for the prize.

The most requested items at the Humane Society are: specialty foods such as small bites, tender bites or grain-free and cleaning supplies such as bleach, paper towels, laundry detergent and dish soap. Any other donations are welcome as well.

Donations can be dropped off Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-noon or 4-7 p.m. and Sundays 4-7 p.m. at 7775 Swamp Creek Rd. in Lewisburg.

The donation drive will end Dec. 18, and items will be delivered to the Preble County Humane Society.
