EATON — During the restaurant’s “Free Cone Event” on March 21, Eaton Dairy Queen Grill & Chill held a “Dip an ice cream cone for a $1” fundraiser to support the Preble County Cops & Kids program.

DQ Fans could dip their free cone in either chocolate, cherry, or fruity blast for a $1 donation.

Dairy Queen was able to donate a total of $250 to the Cops & Kids program thanks to the event.

Cops & Kids is an event which focuses on underprivileged children and families within a local community. Police officers spend time with the children and shop with them in a local store. During the event, the children are given funds to purchase any items they want in the store. The police officer acts as a chaperone and companion to the children throughout the day as they shop for items.
