Students enroll at Ohio Christian University

CIRCLEVILLE — Local students Danika Mann, New Paris and Kara Velte, Germantown, are enrolled at Ohio Christian University for the fall 2017 semester and are among the new students who began classes Aug. 30.

Mann is majoring in Criminal Justice.

Velte is majoring in Adolescence to Young Adult Education.

Sam Shockey

ASHLAND — Sam Shockey of West Alexandria is a member of the cross country team at Ashland University. Shockey is majoring in integrated social studies. Shockey is a 2017 graduate of Twin Valley High School.

The Ashland University cross country team competes in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). Last year, Ashland placed second in the NCAA Division II All-Ohio Championships meet and fifth in the GLIAC Championship. The Ashland University cross country team is led by head coach Jacob Sussman. The Eagles’ latest meet was Sept. 15, at the Michigan State University Spartan Invitational.
