EATON — All Preble County second-fifth grade students are invited to attend this summer’s Conservation Day Camp.

Conservation Day Camp is set for Monday, June 17-Friday, June 21,from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Conservation Day Camp is five full days of outdoor exploration and learning about the environment. Activities include canoeing, arts and crafts, nature hikes, and more. Students experience all the fun the outdoors has to provide, while learning about soil, water, outdoor survival, wildlife, and team building.

Application brochures are available in the Preble Soil and Water Conservation office for pick up, or for download on the website at www.prebleswcd.org.

For more details and information, call at 937-456-5159 and ask to speak with Kate Sills.

PSWCD is also still taking applications for Conservation Day Camp Counselors. Any 7th through 12th grade and first year college student interested in volunteering should go to the website to download an application or email Sills at [email protected].

Day Camp is a great opportunity to gain youth education and leadership experience, while also being eligible to receive a letter of recommendation for any college or job application, according to Sills.

A special thanks goes to Cargill and Darke Rural Electric for sponsoring this PSWCD event.
