ENGLEWOOD— The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Electives, Business, Information Technology, and Agriculture Department recently announced the January honorees for the department’s Career Tech Students of the Month.

Kyle Saul (Twin Valley South) and Clara Walton (Valley View) were both recognized for being outstanding representatives of their career technical programs.

Saul is a skilled and self-motivated student from Computer Repair and Tech Support taught by Amy Sugden. He recently placed 1st in Database Applications at BPA Regionals and will compete at the BPA State Competition in March. He made it to nationals in the same event as a junior last year.

Sugden stated, “He is very interested in 3D printing and is working on advanced skills in 3D printing as a Senior Project. He troubleshoots and maintains our class 3D printers. He has been accepted at several 4-year universities for next fall.” Also, Saul maintains a high GPA and competes in two varsity sports — Cross Country and Track. He also competed in the State Cross Country meet last fall.

Walton represents the MVCTC Sports Management and Marketing Program taught by Zach Gueth. She is a student ambassador, 2-year BPA state qualifier, and helps coordinate the student volunteer opportunities through Special Olympics.
