Local student part of Bluffton University cross-cultural experience in Texas

Kaylie Campbell of Camden, is participating in a Bluffton University cross-cultural experience in Texas during the month of May.

Campbell, along with other Bluffton students, will experience life and diversity in the seventh largest city in the United States. They’ll learn about Tejano and Mexican culture and history; volunteer in service-learning placements; and better understand the needs and concerns of city residents, migrant farmworkers and people living in the borderlands.

Campbell, daughter of Heather and Harvey Campbell, is a Junior majoring in Psychology. She was a graduate of Preble Shawnee in 2019.

This experience will fulfill Bluffton’s undergraduate cross-cultural requirement that must be completed before graduation. Students can either complete a cross-cultural experience or take six credit hours in one foreign language.
