The Preble County Success Program helped with “Christmas for Kids” this year. Over 400 children received Christmas gifts and goodies.

Preble County Success Program ended the year with the opportunity to partner with other community agencies in the annual “Christmas for Kids” event. On Dec. 13, volunteers gathered at the Grace Lutheran Church in Eaton to help distribute toys to many families in need. Parents and guardians who were registered were able to shop for their children and choose several toys for each child, all free of charge.

In addition, each family received books, cookie dough, a Christmas activity pack, a blanket, board games, stockings, wrapping paper, and a chance to enter a raffle for a larger gift.

All the toys given to Preble County families are donated by area businesses, organizations, churches, and individuals. The Success Team had fun helping to set-up for the event and had an incredible experience getting to help parents and guardians shop for their families.

We are very thankful to everyone who participated with Christmas for Kids this year! Thank you to the Boys Scouts troop who stuffed the stockings! Thank you to the Grace Lutheran Church for generously donating space for the event, as well as many great volunteers! Thank you to all those who donated toys and other goodies to Christmas for Kids, including The Register-Herald’s Kids for Kids event! Thank you to all who volunteered at registration, set-up, and distribution!

Christmas for Kids would not be possible without all of your generous support!
