Editor:

The Preble County WIC Program held its annual “Party in the Park” on Thursday, Aug. 24, to celebrate Breastfeeding Awareness Month. We want to thank the following local businesses who supported our celebration by providing food and gifts to share with our WIC families: Gratis Eagles, Buckeye Health, Eaton Nails, Ron’s Pizza, Wings etc., Help Me Grow, Eaton Hometown Furniture, Jiffy Lube, Today’s Harvest, Wesler’s Orchard, and Dee Batson (Mary Kay).

Additionally, thank you to Kettering Health Network for sharing details of their women’s health care services. Teresa Hottle, representing CareSource Life Services, was available to provide families with information about the program she offers. The Preble County WIC Program serves pregnant, breastfeeding and post-partum women and their children up to age 5, providing nutrition counseling and nutritious foods.

To keep up with other public health-related issues make sure to check out Preble County Public Health online at www.preblecountyhealth.org, through Facebook at www.facebook.com/PrebleCoHealth and on Twitter at @PrebleCoHealth!
