Pheanis: support Lewisburg ‘Issue 9’

I have lived within the Village of Lewisburg limits since 2006, but have lived in the surrounding area for over 25 years. During that time, I have seen the pride that the community leaders, business leaders, organizations, neighbors and first responders hold for this quaint town.

Lewisburg stands out not only due to its location right off I-70, but with what we have to offer here. Lewisburg’s property taxes are lower than other communities near us, but emergency services and other village services are second to none. Throughout the years, I have had to call on the local police department a few times and they always responded quickly and professionally. They offer support to the elderly of our community as well, which is a very uncommon benefit.

On Nov. 6, we have an opportunity to vote “yes” on Issue 9 to support our local police department. We are very fortunate to be the only village to offer continual police coverage, 24 hours a day. Many times you will find the police officers working outside their normal schedule to support the many family friendly events that help make Lewisburg a great place to work, play and live.
