Hewitts encourage ‘yes’ on Issue 9

Fellow community members:

Please mark Nov. 5, on your calendar as an important date to vote for a renewal levy for Eaton Community Schools. This is an opportunity for us to demonstrate our support for the youth and future of our community. It will continue to provide for our school system without adding any new taxes.

Bethany and I are both proud graduates of Eaton High School. After college we lived outside of Ohio while I served in the U.S. Navy. Following our years in the Navy, we made a decision to move back to Eaton to raise our growing, young family. Our family and friends living in Eaton were very compelling reasons for us to move back home. But like many of us in the community, there were many factors that we considered before finalizing our plans. We had plenty of reasons for living in this friendly, little town, but our children’s educational experiences were of paramount concern.

At the time Bethany and I moved home, the Eaton School System was at a very important moment in its history in building a new high school and stadium. The community’s dedication to the youth of Eaton was very clear to see in the new facilities. That commitment was the exact reassurance Bethany and I hoped to see for our children and their generation. Now with another Eaton High graduate in the family and four more on their way, we couldn’t be prouder to be Eagles!

Please join us in voting Yes on Issue 9, to renew the existing school levy and continue the great tradition of Eaton High School and this wonderful community.

Dr. Craig and Bethany Hewitt, Class of ‘93
