PCCOA Director says ‘thank you’

Editor:

I want to thank the Southwest Regional K-9 Training Group, Eagle Fence and Lawn Plus for helping raise money and awareness for our Preble County seniors.

It is refreshing to know how many people share my love for senior citizens. We raised approximately $8,000 on Feb. 8 at the Patrolling Paws for a Cause Event. We had an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner, dessert auction, gift basket auction, 50/50 and a money tree. The money raised that evening will help to support 13 seniors on our waiting list for Meals on Wheels.

It costs approximately $2.50 for the food in each home delivered meal. There are other costs included in the total meal package such as preparation, delivery, the staff to prepare, deliver, schedule and record keeping however with your help the food for 13 has been covered.

We have decided this will be an annual event and we couldn’t be more pleased than to work with these three groups again.
