I am writing this letter to show support for Joe Renner for Preble County Commissioner. I have known Joe for close to 30 years now and have worked firsthand with him in law enforcement. When I first came to this county in the mid-1980s Joe taught me a lot about law enforcement and helped make me the officer that I was in my career. Joe taught me to follow the letter of the law as well as the spirit of the law, and how to combine the two to be the best law enforcement officer I could be and treat all citizens fair and equal.

Joe has dedicated his life to serving Preble County as a Deputy Sheriff and served on several organizations, including Eaton Little League as treasurer, the city of Eaton Council as a member and the Eaton Community School Board. Joe is highly regarded in this state as an outstanding Deputy Sheriff. One thing I’ve learned form Joe is what you see is exactly what you get. If you ask Joe for answers he will do everything to find the right answer for you. Joe is also one of the most loyal, honest and trustworthy people I have ever met and I respect him immensely. Joe will always fight for what is right and I believe would be an excellent commissioner, doing everything in his power to benefit the citizens of this county making this a better county for all of us to live in. As commissioner, Joe would stop frivolous spending of taxpayer money. Joe always tries doing the right thing, even when it is not the easiest thing to do. Joe and his wife Elaine have raised a wonderful family who I am very close to and proud to call my friends. This county can only benefit from Joe being commissioner, and I will do whatever I can to support him in his endeavors as I always have.
