CAMDEN — Preble Shawnee’s tennis team improved to 6-8 with a pair of wins over Northridge and Trotwood-Madison last week. The wins move the Arrows’ winning streak to four straight matches.

The Arrows swept Northridge, 5-0, before slipping past Trotwood, 3-2.

“We had an exciting night of tennis tonight, dominating three individual matches and narrowly losing the other two. This has been our best week of the season by far, going undefeated on the week. We have some momentum and really just need to remain focused and keep playing smart, aggressive tennis,” Preble Shawnee coach Dave Hubbard said. “I really couldn’t be more proud of our players.”

“This was a great way to end league play with a 5-0 shutout. We need all the league points we can get going into the tournament next week, so to pick up all five tonight was a big deal for us,” Hubbard said.

The Arrows were scheduled to play in the SWBL tournament on Tuesday, May 2. On Thursday, they will travel to Brookville and will host Franklin on Friday.
