Wright wins Treaty City Invite

GREENVILLE — Twin Valley South ran in the Treaty City Invitational at Greenville High School on Saturday, Sept. 5, with Madison Wright finishing first overall for the varsity girls squad.

Wright finished with a time of 20:08 to take the top slot. Only two other girls competed in the race for the Panthers, as Megan Wright was ninth overall with a time of 25:28 and Grace Stewart ending with a time of 25:28.

The boys top finisher was Andrew McGuire, who finished 51st overall, and was followed on his heels by Brendon Gallaher. Both runners ended with a time of 20:10. Brandan Wright was the third best finish for North, running 21:29, while Matt Hemmelgarn was 117th with a time of 22:49. Chris French was fourth for South, running a race of 24:19 and coming in 129th as Jack Weaver finished 147th in 30:24.

Overall, the boys finished in 14th place.

The Panthers are scheduled to run in the Brookville Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 12.
