WEST MILTON — National Trail’s boys’ cross country team traveled to West Milton Saturday, Aug. 26, to compete in the Bob Schul Invitational.

Trail placed fourth overall as a team with 213 points, as they ran against 37 teams and what coach James Byrd call “strong competition within the district.”

Byrd said all the runners put in better times than they had the first week.

Nathan Bottoms took 3 minutes and 36 seconds off his time. Additionally, Josh Bishop bounced back from week one with nearly a two minute improvement.

The Blazers had four of the top 70 runners led by Josh Bishop (21st, 17:37.4), Travis Hunt (24th, 17:44.9), Adam Eyler (35th, 18:05.9), and Cameron Harrison (42nd, 18:12.8) out of 346 competing runners.
