Girls’ soccer

Preble Shawnee’s girls’ soccer team is unbeaten in SWBL play after picking up a pair of league wins last week. Overall, the Arrows are 3-1-1. After playing to a 2-2 draw with Eaton to open the season, the Arrows picked up a 6-0 win over Newton in a non-league match-up on Saturday, Aug. 26 and won league contests against Middletown Madison (3-0) and Milton-Union (4-3) last week. Shawnee closed out last week with a 2-1 setback to Sidney Lehman Catholic on Saturday, Sept. 2. The Arrows were scheduled to host Carlisle on Tuesday, Sept. 5 and will travel to Dixie on Thursday.

Twin Valley South’s girls’ soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to Miami East last week.

Boys’ golf

The Preble Shawnee Varsity Golf team played Dixie at Moss Creek Golf Club and came up on the short end of the scorecard, falling to the Greyhounds, 207-226. Medalist for Dixie was Clark Miller with a 45. Leading Preble Shawnee was Michael Fritts with a 48. Other scores for the Arrows were, Luke Woodard with 53, Gage Miller with a 60, Levi Brock shot a 65, and Caleb Barrett tallied an 88. The Arrows next match was scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 5 against Valley View at Jamaica Run.

Ethan Kelley shot a 42 to lead Tri-County North, but the Panthers fell short in their match with Newton, losing 176-204 last week. Dylan Curtain shot a 48, while Alec Wayman shot a 54 and Landon Owens a 60.

Boys’ soccer

Preble Shawnee’s boys’s soccer team dropped to 0-4 on the season after a pair of shutout losses last week. The Arrows lost 4-0 to Middletown Madison on Tuesday, Aug. 29, before dropping a 4-0 contest at Milton-Union on Thursday. Shawnee was scheduled to play at Carlisle on Tuesday, Sept. 5 and will host Dixie on Thursday.

Volleyball

Preble Shawnee’s volleyball team lost a pair of SWBL matches last week to fall to 1-5 on the season. The Arrows lost in five sets to Middletown Madison 25-22, 25-23, 13-25, 24-26, 15-5 on Tuesday, Aug. 29. On Thursday, Shawnee dropped a four-set contest to Milton-Union 25-23, 20-25, 29-27, 25-11. Shawnee was scheduled to host Carlisle on Tuesday, Sept. 5 and travel to Dixie on Thursday, Sept. 7.
