NEW MADISON — The Twin Valley South volleyball team will look to help Tri-Village pack their stands with pink during their Volley for the Cure event on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 5 p.m.

“The purpose of this event is to increase awareness of breast cancer among middle and high school students, staff, both communities and to raise funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure,” said South’s head coach Leslie Roberts.

Before, during and after the volleyball match there will be special events such as a raffle of donated items, a bake sale and door prizes.

Admission into the event is $6 and gives the attendant entire access to both gyms and raffles. Survivors will be admitted for free.

Those interested in attending the event are asked to register at the event so proceeds may be sent to Komen in their honor.

Pink Volley for the Cure t-shirts are being pre-sold at both schools at $10 for Adult S-XL, $12 for 2XL and $13 3XL.

Additional shirt and sweatshirt options are available and can be found at both school offices.

For more information concerning donations, t-shirts, sponsorship or the event please contact Eric Burkhart at [email protected] or 765-994-7726 or Leslie Roberts at [email protected] or 937-456-9018.

The fundraiser is still currently seeking donations and sponsorship for this event.
