WEST ALEXANDRIA — The high school boys basketball season officially begins this weekend with Twin Valley South hosting its 7th Annual Tip-Off Tournament Sponsored by Wings Etc. on Friday, Nov. 30, Saturday, Dec. 1 and Monday, Dec. 3.
Games on Friday will be varsity only and will feature Eaton playing National Trail in the first game at 6 p.m.
Twin Valley South will meet Dixie in the second game, set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday features four games with the junior varsity semifinals being played at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Eaton will play Trail in game one and South and Dixie will battle in the second game.
The varsity consolation game will begin at 4 p.m. with the championship to follow at 5:30 p.m.
The junior varsity consolation and championship games will be played Monday, Dec. 3. Those games are scheduled for 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
Last season, National Trail defeated Twin Valley South, 55-48, in the title game. Eaton beat Dixie 59-44 in the consolation game. In the first round, South got the best of Eaton, 55-43, and Trail cruised past Dixie, 77-53.
Admission for Friday and Saturday is $6 for adults and $4 for students.
Admission for Monday is $4.
No passes of any kind will be accepted.
