Arrows double up Dixie, 50-25

NEW LEBANON — Preble Shawnee placed three players in double figures as they cruised to a 50-25 win over host Dixie in a Southwestern Buckeye League Buckeye Division girls basketball game on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

The Arrows have now won three straight games and are 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the SWBL.

The senior trio of Brenna Woodard, Logan Hollon and Jenna Lovely helped the Arrows race out to a 14-5 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Shawnee led 24-13 at the half and extended its lead to 41-18 after three quarters.

Woodard finished with a game-high 15 points. She also had three rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Hollon added 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Lovely knocked down 6-of-7 shots and finished with 13 points. She pulled down four rebounds, added three assists and had seven steals.

Senior Kaylie Campbell contributed six points and five rebounds.

As a team, Shawnee made 21-of-44 shots and forced Dixie into 26 turnovers.

The Arrows contest with Waynesville, scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 6, was postponed due to the funeral of a Shawnee student.

The game will be made-up on Monday, Jan. 14.

Shawnee was scheduled to host Arcanum on Tuesday, Dec. 11 and will visit Carlisle on Saturday, Dec. 15. The following week, the Arrows will play at Miamisburg on Monday, Dec. 17, host Milton-Union on Thursday, Dec. 20 and play at Middletown Madison on Saturday, Dec. 22.
