Team effort lifts North over Arcanum

LEWISBURG — Tri-County North used a team effort to knock off Arcanum 62-55 on Friday, Dec. 7, in a boys basketball game.

The Panthers held a 17-15 lead after the first quarter and led 30-24 at the half.

North pushed its lead to 45-36 after three.

“It’s fun watching them all play together as a team,” North Coach Joe Smith said.

Dylan Stinson led the way with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Brian Stinson had 14 points and five assists.

Preston Jackson added 12 points, while Preston Lairson took three charges on defense.

Smith said Cooper Cole and Phil Lockwood came up big together with their defense and scoring outputs together.

North opened the season on Saturday, Dec. 1, with a 61-52 loss to Middletown Madison.

North (1-1, 1-0 CCC) will return to action on Friday, Dec. 14, when it visits county rival Twin Valley South. On Saturday, the Panthers are scheduled to play at Meadowdale.
