PREBLE COUNTY — Tri-County North landed the top-seed in the upcoming high school baseball sectional tournament, while two county teams will square off in a sectional final.

North (13-5) is the No. 1 seed in the Division IV, Dayton 2 sectional and will host either No. 10 Southeastern (5-14) or No. 13 Yellow Springs (2-13) in a sectional final match-up on Wednesday, May 15. In the lower part of the bracket is No. 3 Cedarville (11-9), No. 7 Covington (5-13-1) and No. 11 Middletown Christian (4-10). The district semifinal is set for Monday, May 20 at Newton High School.

National Trail (15-4), the No. 8 seed, will host Twin Valley South (7-10), the No. 18 seed in a sectional final on Wednesday, May 15, in the Division III, Dayton 1 sectional. In the lower half of the bracket is No. 3 Anna (14-3), No. 11 Northeastern (11-9) and No. 17 Northridge (8-13). The district semifinal is scheduled for Monday, May 20.

In the Division III, Dayton 2 sectional, Preble Shawnee (6-14) is the No. 20 seed and will travel to No. 7 Arcanum (13-5) for a sectional final game on May. 15. The winner advances to the district semifinal on May 20 and will play either No. 4 Dayton Christian (15-4), No. 12 Brookville (10-10) or No. 14 Milton-Union (10-10).

Eaton (9-8) is the No. 5 seed in the Division II, Dayton 2 sectional and will host No. 8 Alter (5-13) in a first round match-up on Tuesday, May 14. The winner will meet either no. 6 Bellbrook (9-10) or No. 7 Greenville (9-10) in the sectional final on Thursday, May 16. If Eaton wins they will host. In the upper half of the bracket is No. 1 seed Chaminade Julienne (16-2), No. 12 Thurgood Marshall (7-7) and No. 13 Trotwood Madison (4-15).

The district semifinal game is slated for Tuesday, May 21 at Monroe.
