CAMDEN — Preble Shawnee’s volleyball team split a pair of matches last week. The Arrows opened the week with a 25-17, 25-7, 25-13 loss at Eaton on Tuesday, Sept. 10, then dropped a five-set match at Dixie on Thursday, 25-20, 25-21, 22-25, 20-25, 15-8. “Eaton was tough and we hung in the first match but we just aren’t quite ready for the long haul against a team like that. We are getting closer,” Shawnee coach Michelle Woodard said. Against Dixie, the Arrows changed lineups and then were forced to change again due to an injury. “But I am proud of their comeback, their willingness to learn and I’m excited about next week,” Woodard said. The Arrows, now 7-5 overall and 3-3 in the SWBL, were scheduled to host Milton-Union on Tuesday and will host Madison on Thursday, before closing out the week with a home match against Franklin-Monroe on Saturday.
