PREBLE COUNTY — A sectional final match-up between a pair of Preble County schools is the highlight for area girls soccer teams.

In addition, two county teams will host at least one tournament game.

No. 8 seed Preble Shawnee (10-6) will host No. 24 Tri-County North (2-9-1) a Division III North 1 sectional final on Thursday, Oct. 17. The winner advances to the district semi-final on Monday, Oct. 21 and will meet either No. 3 Greeneview, No. 13 Greenon or No. 22 Southeastern.

Twin Valley South will also host its first-round match.

The No. 12 seeded Panthers (10-4) will battle No. 25 Carlisle on Monday, Oct. 14. The winner will play No. 6 Troy Christian in the North 2 sectional final on Oct. 17. The district semi-final is slated for Oct. 21 to played against either No. 4 Dayton Christian, No. 11 Miami East or No. 23 Botkins.

National Trail, the No. 27 seed, is in the North 5 sectional and will play at No. 5 Catholic Central (8-3) in the sectional final with the winner moving on to the district semi-final on Oct. 21 against either No. 7 West Liberty-Salem, No. 15 Mechanicburg or No. 18 Yellow Springs.

Eaton (5-9-1), the No. 7 seed, will travel to No. 6 seed Chaminade Julienne (4-7-2) for a Division II Central 2 sectional final.

The winner advances to the district semi-final on Oct. 21 to be played against either No. 1 Alter, No. 10 Brookville or No. 11 Trotwood Madison.

All games are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
