UNION CITY — Tri-County North’s baseball team continued to pile up the runs on Tuesday, April 5, scoring five runs in the seventh inning, en route to an easy 15-2 win over Mississinawa Valley in a Cross County Conference contest.

With the win, the Panthers improved to 3-0 in the CCC and 5-2 overall.

North blew the game opnen with a seven-run second inning. They scored on a two-run single by Logan Elmore, an error, an RBI single by Jordan Overcash, and a three-run double by Colin Whipp.

Elmore racked up three RBI on three hits on the night for North.

Chandler Sproles’ seven strikeouts were enough to push his team past Mississinawa Valley. Sproles allowed two earned runs, five hits and three walks over seven innings.

North took the lead for good in the first inning scoring one run on a fielder’s choice.

The Panthers added single run in the third inning and the fifth. In the third they scored on an RBI single by Zach Edgin, scoring Liam Downing.

North is scheduled to travel to Dayton Christian on Friday, April 8 and Tri-Village on Tuesday, April 12.
