Walker ties career best

WEST MILTON — Preble Shawnee’s girls’ track team competed at Milton Union on Tuesday, April 5, finishing fourth overall out of six teams.

Junior Elise Walker won the high jump clearing 5 feet, 4 inches, tying her personal best jump. Her jump was her best jump since her freshman year.

Sophomore Kassy Wilson placed third in shot putt.

The 4×200 relay team of Walker, Kaylie Campbell, Brooke Tatum, and Tara Howard placed third.

The 4×100 relay team of Walker, Sidney Hacker, Alivia Reek, and Jane Feck also placed third.

The 4×400 relay team Campbell, Walker, Brooke Tatum, and Mackenzie Howard was fourth

Also placing in individual events were Reek, who was fourth in long jump, Feck was sixth in the 100 hurdles, and Howard, wjo took sixth in the 400.

“Last night was a good first meet for our team. We have room for improvement, but everyone competed well for being a cold first meet,” Preble Shawnee Coach Stefanie Hurley said.

The Arrows will travel to Tippecanoe next Tuesday, April 12.
