EATON — Conditioning has started at the Preble County YMCA for the Stingrays.

Conditioning times for ages 10 and under is 4:30-5:30 p.m., ages 11-18 the time is 5:20 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. There will be two different sessions — session one April 4-28 and session two, May 2-27.

The cost for one session is $45 or $80 if signing up for both sessions.

“If you have more than one child and you sign up for both sessions, the cost for the 2nd child is $70, and 3 or more the cost is $60 per child. It is not a requirement to do conditioning to be on the Stingrays. If your swimmer is a new swimmer and under the age of 8 we encourage you not to do both months of conditioning,” said Coach David Montgomery.

The Stingrays are building on a very successful 2015 season. There were 129 swimmers; they went 2 and 2 in dual meets, won an invitational and placed third at the SOSL championships and won the small team championship.

The Preble County Stingrays is open to any swimmers interested in developing their swimming skills and having a fun time doing it. This year, the season runs May 31-July 16, with six dual meets and two invitationals and the Southern Ohio Swim League Championships.
