EATON — Eaton’s volleyball began league play last week with a pair of crossover contests.

The Eagles hosted Franklin on Tuesday, Aug. 30 and cruised past the Wildcats in straight sets 25-9, 25-18, 25-11.

Junior Ellie Wilson led the team with 12 kills. Senior Paige Pitsinger added nine kills. Senior Lily Shepherd added seven kills with three aces. Sophomore Daisy Suggs chipped in with five kills.

Senior Elise Hewitt had five aces and 12 digs and senior Bailey Jerdon led the team with 27 assists.

On Thursday, Aug. 31, Eaton meet up with East favorite Bellbrook.

Eaton fell to 1-1 in league play and 3-2 overall with a 25-15, 25-19, 25-12 loss.

Eaton is scheduled to play two more league contests this week. They are scheduled to travel to Valley View on Wednesday, Sept. 7 and will host Waynesville on Thursday. The Eagles will close out the week by hosting Kettering Fairmont on Saturday, Sept. 10.
