ECC rallies for a cure

EATON — Eaton Country Club recently held a Rally For the Cure women’s outing. Organizers said the event raised $1,005, when combined with the recent ladies’ scramble and the reverse outing for mixed teams.

The ladies’ winning team consisted of Doris Roth, Teresa Schmidt, Barb Garber and Jane Woodard.

Winning the hybrid club donated by the Rally for the Cure, was Doris Roth, for closest to the pin on hole number two. Debbie Kramer won straightest drive on three and nine, and longest drive winner was Barb Rohl.

Saturday’s winning team was Gary Peffly, Randy Peters Pat Dawson, Chris Ditmer. Closest to pin winner was Gary Peffly- he received a Rallies “cooler seat.”

Organizers send out “thank yous” to hole sponsors and donors, including Matt Dillman, hole sponsors Wagner Technical Services, Kramer & Kramer, Inc. and Roselius Insurance Agency; Chris Stang for two holes in memory of Jean Stang; Sharon Spitler in memory of Mona Kaye; Shirley Eversole in memory of Avery Eversole, and Cary and Jane Borgert in memory of Jean Stang. Thanks also to hole sponsors: Alice Ferguson, Les and Cindy Maggard, Gary and Lee Peffly, Barb Rohl, Carol and Steve Unger; and Meri Vosler (four holes.)

First place winners received recipe holders to put in “next year’s winning recipe.”
