VERSAILLES — On Friday, Aug. 12, Tri-County North and Newton tied for the CCC Preview team golf championship, both shooting 128.

This is a first for time for TCN to finish so well in the tournament in a long time, according to coaches. The event was hosted by Bradford High School.

Tri-County North’s number one and two players, Tincher and Booso, tied for third as individual team low score, shooting 39. Brandon Parsons and Bailey Lairson shot 42, while Alec Wayman and Ethan Kelley shot 47.

The teams played a nine-hole rider cup, playing three-hole alternating shot, three-hole scramble, and a three-hole best ball.

North’s next event was scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Missisinawa Valley, followed by another road trip for Thusday, Aug. 18, to Bradford.
