FORT RECOVERY — Fort Recovery defeated Twin Valley South’s volleyball team, 25-15, 25-10, 25-10, on Saturday, Sept. 10. The loss is the first on the season for the Lady Panthers.

Earlier on Thursday, Sept. 8, Twin Valley South played against Cross County Conference foe Arcanum and won in a very competitive contest in five sets: 25-18, 25-12, 16-25, 20-25, and 15-10.

Key performances included seniors Delaney Adams, Abby Beneke, Emma Fergus, and Madison Wright. Juniors Audrey Chesney, Milan Crews, and Samantha Janecek also had some solid play in the match. Sidney Mowell and Zoe Utsinger made timely plays in their roles, according to South coach Leslie Roberts.

With the split, Twin Valley South is now 7-1, but still sports a 4-0 record in the CCC. The team’s next match was scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Union County for their only contest this week. The Panthers are scheduled to visit National Trail on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
