Eaton volleyball loses to Talawanda in three sets

EATON — The Eaton Lady Eagles volleyball team was swept in three sets, 25-12, 25-14 and 25-15, by the Lady Braves of Talawanda on Monday, Oct. 3, in a non-conference game.

The loss snapped a four-match winning streak for the Eagles.

Eaton is now 12-7 on the season overall, while currently in third place in the Southwestern Division standings of the Southwestern Buckeye League with a 6-3 record.

Bellbrook is atop the division standings (15-2, 8-0 in SWBL), ahead of Valley View (14-4, 7-2 in SWBL.) Rounding out the rest of the Southwestern Division behind Eaton are Monroe (9-8, 5-4), Oakwood (8-11, 4-6), Brookville (4-12, 1-8), and Franklin (2-14, 0-9). Only a few more games remain until post season sectional play begins two weeks from now.

Eaton was scheduled to play Thursday, Oct. 6, at home, against division opponent Valley View for its final home contest of the season, and on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Franklin. Eaton will close out the regular season with a trip to Bellbrook on Thursday, Oct. 13.
