MVCTC students inducted into National Technical Honor Society

ENGLEWOOD — Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) inducted 92 students into National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) on Sunday, March 19.

The NTHS students, as well as their honored educators from MVCTC and their partner school district, were recognized in a ceremony at MVCTC in front of family and friends.

Students are selected for NTHS based on the following requirements: a 3.75-grade point average or higher, 97 percent attendance, passed all parts of the Ohio Graduation Test and instructor recommendations. Each of the 2017 inductees is the recipient of a $500 scholarship made possible by the MVCTC Education Foundation.

• Abigail Adkins (Eaton) enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Alicia Newman (Early Childhood Education Instructor) and Leslie Kelly from Eaton. Abigail is the daughter of Dwight Adkins of West Alexandria and Angela Adkins of Eaton.

• Katelyn Booth (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Dental Assistant program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Abigail Hartman (Dental Assistant Instructor) and Melissa Carmean from Tri-County North. Katelyn is the daughter of Darren Booth of Huber Heights and Joe and Malinda Blust of Lewisburg.

• Gabrielle Combs (Eaton) enrolled in the Health Careers Academy program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Paula Wathen (Health Careers Academy Instructor) and Jennifer Cross from Eaton. Gabrielle is the daughter of Charles and Angela Ketron of Morning Sun.

• Julianne Cramer (Eaton) enrolled in the Computer Repair & Technical Support program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educator, Andrew Via (Math Instructor). Julianne is the daughter of Cathy Cramer of Eaton.

• Henry Durham (Eaton) enrolled in the Welding program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mark Willis (Welding Instructor) and Sherry Hood from Eaton. Henry is the son of Mike and Gwen Durham of Eaton.

• Zachary Edgin (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Natural Resource Management program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Mike Mullen (Natural Resource Management Instructor) and Joe Smith from Tri-County North. Zachary is the son of Paul Partlow of Brookville and Cari Schiml of Brookville.

• Lacey Emrick (Twin Valley South) enrolled in the Dental Assistant program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Abigail Hartman (Dental Assistant Instructor) and Alice Dinicola from Twin Valley South. Lacey is the daughter of Tim and Laura Emrick of West Alexandria.

• Sara Harris (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Sports Medicine program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Matt Money (Sports Medicine Instructor) and Stephanie Garner from Tri-County North. Sara is the daughter of Kirby and Bobbie Jo Harris of Lewisburg.

• Macie Hayslett (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Computer Network Engineering program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, John Underwood (Computer Network Engineering Instructor) and Terra Moniaci from Tri-County North. Macie is the daughter of Brad and Kim Hayslett of Lewisburg.

• Corbin Hoblit (National Trail) enrolled in the Sports Medicine program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Frank Wright (Math Instructor) and Todd Alexander from National Trail. Corbin is the son of Aaron Hoblit of Richmond, Indiana and Renita Hoblit of Eldorado.

• Trey Kehr (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Sports Management and Marketing program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Tiffany Minton (English Instructor) and Ben Mishler from Tri-County North. Trey is the son of Greg and Tracey Kehr of Lewisburg.

• Lindsay Owens (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Biotechnology program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Doug Pultz (English Instructor) and Emily Hamblin from Tri-County North. Lindsay is the daughter of Matthew and Cynthia Owens of West Alexandria.

• Haille Pitcock (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Allied Health program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Tonya Barnett (Allied Health Instructor) and Melissa Carmean from Tri-County North. Haille is the daughter of Rick Pitcock of Lewisburg and Linda Pitcock of Verona.

• Alexis Spencer (Twin Valley South) enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Josh Rarick (Math Instructor) and Kelly Lane from Twin Valley South. ALEXIS is the daughter of Michael Spencer of West Alexandria and Amy McKee of West Alexandria.

• Chelsey Strawser (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Sports Medicine program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Matt Money (Sports Medicine Instructor) and Stephanie Garner from Tri-County North. Chelsey is the daughter of David and Vanessa Strawser of Lewisburg.

• Josie Toller (Eaton) enrolled in the Cosmetology program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Julie Millhouse (Cosmetology Instructor) and Dorothy Stoltz from Eaton. Josie is the daughter of Scott and Amy Toller of Eaton.

• Brandon Via (Tri-County North) enrolled in the Sports Medicine program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Matt Money (Sports Medicine Instructor) and Howard Kuhn from Tri-County North. Brandon is the son of Greg and Andrea Via of Lewisburg.

• Colton Williams (Preble Shawnee) enrolled in the Biotechnology program at MVCTC chose to honor as his most significant educators, Rob Klepinger (Science Instructor) and Ami Stevenson from Preble Shawnee. Colton is the son of Robert and Tracey Williams of New Lebanon.

• Madison Wright (Twin Valley South) enrolled in the Biotechnology program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Beth Hughes (English Instructor) and Alice Dinacola from Twin Valley South. Madison is the daughter of Frank and Teresa Wright of Eaton.

• Megan Wright (Twin Valley South) enrolled in the Sports Medicine program at MVCTC chose to honor as her most significant educators, Matt Money (Sports Medicine Instructor) and Jane Osborn from Twin Valley South. Megan is also the daughter of Frank and Teresa Wright of Eaton.
