Fair royalty to be crowned

CAMDEN — The 2017 Preble County Junior Fair royalty will be chosen on Saturday, June 10, in the auditorium of Preble Shawnee High School.

The contest begins at 7 p.m. Personal interviews will take place earlier in the day. Again this year the court will include a representative for each species and a representative for the Clothing and Textiles, Nutrition and Foods and the Arts.

All positions are open to both male and females who have a project entered in the fair through 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, Camp Fire Girls, Boys and Girls Clubs or Girl Scouts.

The 2016 Queen Aubrey Stevenson and King Johnathon Cottingim will be on hand to emcee the event.

Candidates for King are:

Hunter Owens, 19, Lewisburg, representing Bouncing Bunnies 4-H Club. Hunter is the son of Aaron and Amy Owens.

Candidates for Queen are:

Carley Asher, 16, Eaton, representing Somers Super Beef 4-H Club. Carley is the daughter of Kara Stevenson and the late Charlie Asher.

Kara Burton, 17, Camden, representing All-Star Livestock. Kara is the daughter of Bruce and Audrey Burton. Kara is also running for Lamb and Wool Queen.

Jessica Chappell, 17, Camden, representing Poultry Pride and Livestock 4-H Club. Jessica is the daughter of Donald and Michelle Chappell. Jessica is also running for Rabbit Queen.

Gabrielle Cooper, 19, West Alexandria, representing Spic N Span Pots N Pans and Somers Super Beef 4-H Clubs and Twin Valley South MVCTC FFA. Gabrielle is the daughter of Aaron and Kelly Cooper.

Hannah Farley, 16, Germantown, representing Blazin Saddles 4-H Club. Hannah is the daughter of Terry and Nichole Johnson. Hannah is also running for Horse Queen.

Chyann Kendel, Eaton, 16, representing Monroe Better Livestock 4-H Club and Twin Valley South MVCTC FFA. Chyann is the daughter of Chuck and Tere Kendel. Chyann is also running for Rabbit Queen.

Rachael Kimball, 16, Eaton, representing Monroe Better Livestock 4-H Club and National Trail MVCTC FFA. Rachael is the daughter of John and Tammy Kimball. Rachael is also running for Poultry Queen.

Kendra Lane, 17, representing Preble County Young Farmers 4-H Club. Kendra is the daughter of Kelsie Lane. Kendra is also running for Rabbit Queen.

Jasmine Mabry, 17, Camden, representing Just Horsin’ Around 4-H Club and Preble Shawnee FFA. Jasmine is the Granddaughter of Jay and Kathy Mabry. Jasmine is also running for Horse Queen.

Catie Millhouse, 18, Anna, representing the Bouncing Bunnies 4-H Club. Catie is the daughter of Richard and Christy Millhouse.

Alisha Rader, 16, Eaton, representing the All-Star Livestock 4-H Club and the Eaton MVCTC FFA. Alisha is the daughter of Kenny and Rebecca Rader. Alisha is also running for Lamb and Wool Queen.

Macel Stowers, 16, New Paris, representing Monroe Better Livestock and the National Trail MVCTC FFA. Macel is the daughter of Kandi Stowers of New Paris and Mark Stowers of Middletown. Macel is also running for Pork Queen.
