Arrest made in connection with burglary

EATON — Preble County Sheriff’s deputies recently arrested an Eaton man after an investigation into a residential burglary which occurred in early February.

According to Sheriff Mike Simpson, on Feb. 2, deputies investigated the theft of a firearm from a residence in the 6500 block of Fairhaven-College Corner Road, in Israel Township.

Simpson noted, a follow-up investigation by deputies led them to interview a suspect who had been arrested on unrelated traffic and drug offenses.

“During the interview, the suspect confessed to committing the burglary and theft of the firearm,” Simpson said.

Deputies arrested Levi A. Bresher, 35, of Eaton, on March 3. He was indicted by a Preble County Grand Jury on April 4, for the one count burglary, a third-degree felony and one count grand theft, also a third-degree felony.

Bresher posted bond and was released from the Preble County Jail, according to Simpson.
