Preble Co. Fair royalty to be crowned

EATON — The 2016 Preble County Junior Fair Royalty will be chosen on Saturday, June 18, in a contest to be held in the auditorium of Preble Shawnee High School at 7 p.m.

This year’s event will be emceed by 2015 Queen Savannah Reece and King Clayton Cruze, according to organizers.

Personal interviews will take place earlier in the day. Again this year, there will be a representative for each species and a representative for Clothing and Textiles, Nutrition and Foods and the Arts, selected. All positions are open to both male and females who have a project entered in the fair through 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, Camp Fire Girls, Boys and Girls Clubs or Girl Scouts.

King

Candidates for King include:

Johnathan Cottingim, 18, Somerville, representing Somers Super Livestock and Preble Shawnee FFA. Johnathan is the son of Bruce and Kristy Cottingim

James Diehl, 17, West Alexandria, representing Bouncing Bunnies 4-H Club. James is the son of Paul Diehl and Melissa Rose. James is also running for Rabbit King.

Alex Kerby, 17, Lewisburg, representing Top of the Line 4-H Club. Alex is the son of Jason and Carrie Kerby. Alex is also running for Goat King.

Hunter Owens, 18, Lewisburg, representing Bouncing Bunnies 4-H Club. Hunter is the son of Aaron and Amy Owens.

Clayton Smith, 17, Eaton, representing Spic-N-Span Pots-N-Pans 4-H Club. Clayton is the son of Charles Smith and Heidi Ballinger.

Candidates for Queen include:

Courtney Chadwell, 17, West Alexandria, representing Bouncing Bunnies 4-H Club. Courtney is the daughter of Matthew and Melanie Chadwell. Courtney is also running for Rabbit Queen.

Jessica Chappell, 16, Camden, representing Poultry Pride and Livestock 4-H Club. Jessica is the daughter of Donald and Michelle Chappell. Jessica is also running for Rabbit Queen.

Gabrielle Cooper, 18, West Alexandria, representing Spic N Span Pots N Pans and Somers Super Beef 4-H Clubs. Gabrielle is the daughter of Aaron and Kelly Cooper. Gabrielle is also running for Rabbit Queen.

Hayley Flory, 18, Eaton, representing Horses R Us 4-H Club. Hayley is the daughter of Randy and Heidi Flory. Hayley is also running for Pork Queen.

Morgan Gregory, 17, West Alexandria, representing Boots, Chaps, Cowboy Hats 4-H Club. Morgan is the daughter of William and Kim Gregory. Morgan is also running for Horse Queen.

Suzanne Kimball, 18, Eaton, representing the National Trail FFA and Monroe Better Livestock 4-H Club. Suzanne is the daughter of Tammy and John Kimball.
