EATON — The Preble County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the 2017 Chamber Classic Golf Outing, to be held on Friday, Aug. 18, at Jamaica Run Golf Course in Germantown.
The proceeds of this annual event benefit the Preble County Chamber’s Scholarship fund. Each year the Chamber awards a scholarship to a local graduating senior in Preble County. The 2017 recipient was Emma McKinney of Eaton.
There are several different ways individuals and businesses can get involved: get a foursome together and play in the outing, sponsor a hole, hold “Business at the Tee” and show off a business with a fun game at a tee box location, or take part as one of several other types of sponsors.
All golfers receive a goodie bag, and door prizes will be given away. Lunch will be provided. The top three winners will receive awards, with the top team winning $300.
Jamaica Run is located at 8781 Jamaica Rd., Germantown. The outing will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
