PREBLE COUNTY — It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Or is it?
Christmas isn’t happy for everyone. Between stresses at work, conflict in relationships, loss of a loved one, poor eating and drinking habits, and increasingly short, cold and dark winter days, it can be downright depressing.
“Thinking we should be happy and celebrating can serve as a painful reminder of what is lacking in our lives,” MHRB officials said.
For this reason, the month of December can be a difficult time of year for people dealing with loss, family dysfunction, mental health issues, divorce, and loneliness. The Preble County Mental Health & Recovery Board exists to provide the community with the tools and services they need to be well and stay well.
