Eaton volleyball beats Franklin in 3 sets

FRANKLIN — Despite falling behind early in the first set, the Eaton volleyball team regrouped to defeat Franklin in three sets, 25-11, 25-5, 25-11, on Tuesday, Oct. 11.

Sophomore outside hitter Becca Mowen had a good game, registering nine kills and three aces. Senior setter Emma McKinney contributed with 22 assists and three aces. Junior hitter Ariel Richardson made five kills and 13 digs. Senior hitter Stacia Weathington had five kills.

Eaton currently holds a 13-8 record, and stands in third place (7-4) in the Southwestern Division of the Southwestern Buckeye League. The Lady Eagles’ final regular season match was scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 13, against Bellbrook.

Eaton earned a first round bye in the Division II Lebanon 2 Sectional Tournament, and will play on Wednesday, Oct. 19 against the winner of the Valley View/Stivers.
