ARCANUM — National Trail’s boys basketball team fought back from an early 11-point deficit to win a Cross County Conference contest at Arcanum, Friday, Dec. 9.
The Blazers were led by Dalton Mason’s 18 points and Weston Haws’ career-high 15. Tyler Glander chipped in 10.
Trail fell behind 24-15 after the first quarter, but trimmed the Trojans’ lead to 35-30 by halftime.
The Blazers outscored Arcanum 14-6 in the third quarter to take a 44-41 lead.
On Tuesday, Dec. 6, the Blazers couldn’t overcome an early double-digit deficit and suffered a 56-38 loss at Brookville.
Trail fell behind 17-7 after the opening quarter and still trailed by 10 at the half, 31-21. The Blue Devils extended their lead to 16, 45-29 by the end of the third quarter.
Travis Hunt and Peyton Harrison led the Blazers with 15 and 11 points respectively.
Trail, now 2-2, plays plays its home opener Friday, Dec. 16, vs. Twin Valley South. The Blazers are scheduled to play at Centerville (Ind.) on Saturday.
