Basic Computer Workshop: Preble County Library will be here on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 1:30 p.m. You will learn how to turn the computer on and off, using the mouse and keyboard, and interacting with what’s on the screen. Computers are provided.

The Northern Connection “Lunch & Learn”: The Northern Connection is a partnership between the Preble County Council on Aging and the St. Paul United Methodist Church. Lunch is served at no charge (donations are welcome). Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, located at 301 E. Main Street in New Paris. Everyone is welcome to attend. Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: Are you tired, worn out, and would appreciate a kind ear, friendly heart, and support for your Grand-parenting? Join us on either of these Friday, Aug. 17, at 1 p.m.

Life Topic: The Health Benefits of Wine: Bella Care Hospice will be here Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 2 p.m., talking with us about the health benefits of wine. Samples provided.

Matter of Balance: Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A Matter of Balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. This class begins Tuesday, August 21 and runs for 8 weeks through Oct. 9 from 10 a.m to noon. This course is free, and registration is necessary. For more information and to register call Stacey at 456-4947.

Wedding Dress Drive: We are collecting wedding dresses to make Angel Dresses for babies that don’t make it to full term. Drop your wedding dress off at the senior activities center.

Aullwood Nature Center: A guided half mile walking tour on a paved trail, followed by a scenic walk in the Nature Sanctuary. Quilt designs and wall hangings are on display inside. Lunch will be on your own at Marion’s Pizza, followed by dessert at Esther Price candies. This trip is on Tuesday, Oct. 2, $25 for members, $35 non-members. Call to reserve your spot, 937-456-4947.
