Oinkers for Art looking for designs

PREBLE COUNTY — Many local businesses have participated in Oinkers for Art, a community art project that celebrates Preble County and the people and businesses in it. Since 2014, the PCAA has worked with artists and businesses to create painted pigs that are displayed in downtown Eaton for three weeks before they are auctioned off. Designs should be submitted for consideration by Friday, Aug. 10.

With each year, Oinkers for Art has grown to engage more of the community and offers an opportunity to support the PCAA, a nonprofit charitable organization and receive recognition for one’s business. Pigs are painted during the Old Fashioned Downtown Car Show in August, providing a crowd to watch entrants’ pigs be created.

Following the car show, the pigs are displayed in downtown Eaton for three weeks and are then auctioned at the PCAA’s Arts Night Out event in September. This equals three opportunities for community engagement.
