Preble County Relay for Life says ‘thanks’

0

All of the Preble County Relay for Life Teams, American Cancer Society staff members, along with myself, would like to thank everyone who participated in and made donations to the Preble County Relay for Life event at the fairgrounds on Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19.

Thanks to all for your monetary donations and donations of gifts which were raffled to raise money for cancer research. We want to thank Lisa Erskine for singing the National Anthem, Pastor Kathy Brawley from the First Universalist Church of Eldorado for the invocation, cancer survivor Martell Walls for her opening ceremony speech, Boy Scout Troop 511 from Lewisburg, DJ’s Chuck and Gloria Creech, Diane Perry for being in charge of the survivor’s dinner and to our event leaders Darian Rader and Tiana White.

Thanks, also, to our sponsors: Parker, Reid Health Cancer Center, Honda, Mote & Associates, Cato, Casey’s General Store, Your Flower Shop and Sherry Hood. Thanks to Daylight Donuts, Kroger, Rob Jarrell for funding our banner, the City of Eaton for putting up and taking down our banner, the Preble County Fairgrounds, Kelsey Kimbler and The Register-Herald, and the YMCA and the Eaton City Schools for letting us use their buildings for meetings.

Our event in May received donations totaling $10,133.64. Donations can be made year round and are greatly appreciated. Please visit the website at www.relayforlife.org/preblecounty for more information.

Every day, someone is diagnosed with cancer. Thanks again to all for helping us fight the fight and for supporting this event.
