TVCLSD passes health inspection

WEST ALEXANDRIA — According to Director of Food Service Megan Fields, Twin Valley Local Community Schools successfully passed the second health inspection for the year and passed Ohio Department of Education’s Administrative review with a complementary exit interview.

Fields shared this news during the Twin Valley Local Community Schools Board of Education meeting on Monday, March 18.

Also during administrative reports, Director of Pupil Services Jeremy Mills shared the district completed ACT testing for all juniors.

K-6 Principal Patti Holly reported, her teachers have been meeting with Butler County for professional development to discuss and plan for meeting the needs of students in English Language Arts and Math. They are discussing supplementing the Journey’s Reading Program and the Go Math Series to meet students where they are academically and socially.

In other business:

•The board accepted a donation of $1,000 from Parker Hannifin Foundation to be used for Science Olympiad.

•The board accepted a donation of $205 from Dow/DuPont in memory of Jayde Payne.

•The board approved a College Credit Plus agreement with Sinclair Community College for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Twin Valley Community Schools will hold its next regular board of education meeting on Monday, April 22, at 6 p.m. in the Media Center.
