LEWISBURG — The Preble County Park District has announced the following programs and events coming up in the month of July:
•Rum River Blend Concert, Saturday, July 13, starting at 7 p.m. The PCPD welcomes back the bluegrass, country, and gospel group. Bring a lawn chair and have fun with the band.
•Goin’ Creekin,’ Thursday, July 18, 1-3 p.m.: Wear old pants and boots or footwear which will stay on the feet. Participants will be climbing down and up a hill to access the creek.
•Honey Please? Ask the Bees! Saturday, July 20, 1-3 p.m.: The PCPD invites the public to the first-ever honey presentation by Al Tuttle. Tuttle has worked with bees all his life and is an expert in his field. He will explain the workings of a hive and demonstrate some items and techniques he uses in his work. Learn about this fascinating and hardworking little honeybee. Taste some honey. Children will do a bee project after the presentation.
•It’s Bubbleicious Science! Saturday, July 27, 1-3 p.m.: Help make different bubble recipes and decide which one is the best and why. Did you know that some animals use bubbles to keep themselves cool?
